Gaurav Mankotia is an associate attorney at the BFSNG Law Group, LLP, focusing his areas of practice on bankruptcy and commercial litigation. He represents a Chapter 7 Trustee, creditors, and debtors in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy matters, handling adversary proceedings, core bankruptcy issues, real estate disputes, and complex litigation.
Notably, Mr. Mankotia gained valuable judicial insight during his internship with the Honorable Eduardo V. Rodriguez of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
Mr. Mankotia spent a decade working as an attorney in India, bringing with him extensive legal experience across multiple jurisdictions.
Mr. Mankotia earned his LL.M. in Business Law from The University of Texas School of Law, where he was awarded first place in the Duke Interscholastic Transactional Law Competition and served as a Staff Editor for the Texas International Law Journal. He also holds an MBA-LL.M. from National Law University, Jodhpur, India and a BA-LL.B. (Hons.) from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi, India.
Mr. Mankotia is an active member of the professional community. He serves as a mentor for the Turnaround Management Association’s Pro Bono Speed Dating Event. He also holds leadership roles in the American Bankruptcy Institute, including Co-Leader for Special Projects, International Committee.
In addition to the state of New York, Mr. Mankotia is licensed to practice law in Alabama, and India. He is also fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi.
